Why we're building this
In August 2026 the BBC reported that Harvest, the time-tracking and invoicing app (acquired by Bending Spoons in 2025), moved to a usage-based pricing model. Until the change, businesses paid a flat monthly fee per user. Under the new model, businesses can also be charged according to their number of active projects, clients and tasks, and the amount of revenue they invoice through the platform.
One UK consultancy told the BBC its monthly bill rose from $130 to $2,110; a US user reported an annual charge going from $2,800 to $23,000. Harvest told the BBC that customers on older legacy plans faced the larger increases, that customers are notified by email 30 days and 10 days before renewal, and that they can switch plans or ask for help finding a better price.
